Carnitas Anyone?

“As you are jabbing your teeth, do you ever stop to think with the tree thinks or feels?”

“What in the hell are you talking about?”

“The toothpick.”

“So what? You know I always get food caught between these two teeth, drives me crazy, it was your idea to get Carnitas.”

“But trees are living things, how would you feel if your bones were shredded into little picks?”

“I like trees too, but are you listening to yourself?”

“Oh sorry, the Wilson’s cut down their cherry tree and I was just feeling sad. Hey, how ’bout a churro for dessert?”

Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie… This week’s Photo Challenge #359 by NEKNEERAJ is courtesy of Brooke Shaden. Love strange images like this and that’s my 100 word story. I’m trying to get my granddaughter Ula to write one.

  1. I hate to see trees cut down. 😦

  2. no trees were harmed in the eating (or after eating) the churros.

  3. I’m going to look at toothpicks differently now 🙂 And it’s a good thing that these two went out for food instead of heading to Ikea! Lots more wood there to make you shiver.

  4. I always felt sorry for tooth picks, now even more

  5. Nice personification though I can’t get overly enthused about risk that may be incurred by a little piece of wood. Someone has way beyond too much free time.
