THREE FLAT WALKUP… A Drabble for FriFic

A Brownstone, Wicker Park… the telephone rings…

“Cheryl, it’s me.”

“For Christ’s sake, Ethel, where are you, Big Brother’s started and they’re about to vote.”

“I’m on the second floor.”

“What in the hell are you doing on the second floor, get up here!”

“I don’t feel well, I’m so out of breath I don’t think I can. I’ll just sit here awhile, let me know who gets evicted.”

“Bullshit, Ethel! I’m coming down to get you.”

“But you’ll miss your show.”

“I got a satellite now. We’ll watch it together, you know I can’t watch our show without you.”

  1. Dear Ted,

True love and a satellite. Gotta love it.

  2. Too bad tonight’s episode was not worth watching!!

  3. Grin. I love these ladies!

  4. There’s friendship for you…

  5. Dear Ted,

Like Sandra said…that’s a true friend. Spot on dialogue. Our first apartment was a third floor walk-up…just thought I’d share some useless trivia while I was at it. 😉 Good story.

  6. Good friendship; bad life aspiration.

  7. Sounds like me struggling with stairs! Ten years ago, I stayed in a gorgeous NYC brownstone in an apartment which was on the third floor, too. I loved it so much I dream of living there to this day. These ladies of yours are mad and gorgeous, Ted!

  8. such dedication to both the show and a friend.

  9. Those shows are the more fun when watched with a friend.

  10. Everything is more fun when done with a friend. Lovely story.

  11. Because some shows must be experienced together! I have a lot of shows like that. Nice one, Ted.

  12. Dear Ted,
If would have to be a good show for me to walk up three flights. Great dialogue.

  13. Hilarious. The gals are at it again. 😀 — Suzanne

    1. Me too… hope to see them again soon! Maybe they will have a friend named Kate with them.

      1. Ooh. That sounds fun but also scary!
