Trifextra #93: DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY!

DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY!

DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY… “What’s this Ethel?”

“My new motto, Cheryl. Meher Baba, he’s a god.”

“No he’s not, there’s only one.”

“We all are, Cheryl, we just haven’t learned how to live it.”

Picture11-1

This was a card my sister Mariya gave me many years ago.  I may not have done the Trifextra Prompt correctly, but it’s the first thing I thought of… and I have always found comfort in his words.  Meher Baba created controversy in the early 20th Century saying he was God.  It is accepted by many that we all are and have not yet learned how to live it.

Buddhist cosmology tells of Trāyastriṃśa, or the Heaven of Thirty-Three gods, which rule over the human realm.  This weekend we’re asking for exactly 33 of your own words about a god of your own devising that shares heaven with the other thirty-two gods.  Make it yours and have fun with it. – See more at: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/2013/11/trifextra-week-ninety-three.html?

  1. I think this is a great take on the prompt! And what a great picture! Nicely done, Ted. 😀

  2. good reading txs for sharing tedster

  3. Lovely sentiment, Ted. I certainly think we all have the chance to bring a little light to everyone we meet. It’s what I try to do-and your comment certainly brought some light (and a smile) to my life today:)

  4. This is very comforting. I believe we all have the ability inside of us to spread joy even in minor day to day acts of friendship, smiling at a stranger, holding the door open for someone, and just overall bringing light in a world that can look dark. I love the card.

  5. Wish we could all learn! Excellent Ted

  6. Lovely! It’s so true that we all just haven’t learnt to accept the God within each of us.

  8. Ted, I love that picture… it made me smile, and the sentiment is awesome. goodness is the god we need.

  9. Great message! I love that last line.

  10. I’m okay with being the god I am, it’s everyone else who refuses to worship me!
lol Love the photo, and the sentiment (and Cheryl and Ethel, of course).

  11. EXCELLENT! Baba must be smiling…

  12. I am so glad to have you and the two girls back!
